Solar Operator

Mortenson is currently seeking a Solar Operator who will be responsible for operating equipment as directed and specified while adhering to all rules and regulations mandated by Mortenson safety policies and procedures.

• Operate the following equipment based on project requirements:
  • Forklift/Telehandler
  • Bobcat/Skid‑steer
• Follow prescribed safety regulations
• Maintain clear and orderly housekeeping in the assigned area
• Perform routine maintenance, including lubricating, fueling, and cleaning
• Observe equipment operation to detect malfunctions
• Follow work plans and pre‑task cards
• Work effectively and build relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
• Perform additional duties as assigned

• Required equipment certifications
• Minimum one (1) year of related experience
• Current driver’s license with proper classification and necessary endorsements
• Strong teamwork orientation, positive attitude, professional customer‑service skills, and detail‑orientation; ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and load charts
• Ability to operate equipment by moving levers, shifting gears, depressing pedals, and maneuvering steering wheels; knowledge of equipment and their uses; basic mathematical skills
• Ability to work independently with active listening and effective communication skills, open to diverse input and feedback
• Capability for repetitive hand, arm, and leg movements
• Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs; for over 50 lbs assistance is required
