Donor Relations & Communications Coordinator

Job Description:The Donor Relations and Communications Coordinator is directly accountable to the Director of Development, Foundation, for the following duties and responsibilities. The individual filling this position is expected to play a positive role in helping the College change as necessary to effectively carryout its mission.
Donor Communications & Stewardship
- Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive donor communications and stewardship plan to engage past, current, and prospective donors.
- Oversee all written donor correspondence, ensuring timely, accurate, and compelling communication that demonstrates the impact of philanthropic support.
- Develop and distribute donor impact reports, stories, and updates that highlight student success and program outcomes.
Content Development & Digital Communications
- Create and manage content across multiple platforms, including newsletters, social media, and foundation publications, in coordination with Strategic Communications.
- Generate and curate stories featuring students, faculty, alumni, and donors to support fundraising and engagement efforts.
- Maintain and update the Foundation website to ensure alignment with campaigns, events, and donor engagement priorities.
Alumni Relations
- Coordinate alumni communications and engagement activities, including targeted outreach through database segmentation.
- Maintain and enhance the alumni database to ensure accurate and actionable records.
Campaign & Annual Giving Support
- Develop promotional materials and provide lead communications support for annual fundraising initiatives, including the annual fund, Faculty & Staff Campaign, and Distinguished Alumni Program.
- Manage and optimize digital fundraising tools (e.g., Give Campus), including campaign setup, giving forms, and reporting.
Data Management & Reporting
- Maintain accurate donor and alumni records in the development database, ensuring data integrity and usability for reporting and relationship management.
- Manage gift society lists and donor recognition efforts, including physical and digital recognition displays.
Systems & Process Support
- Create and maintain web-based forms and tools to support scholarship processes, board activities, and nominations.
- Assist with gift entry, receipting, and acknowledgment processes as needed to support Foundation operations.
Collaboration & Organizational Support
- Provide assistance and support for Foundation cultivation, stewardship, and fundraising events.
- Collaborate with internal departments, including Strategic Communications, to ensure consistent messaging and branding.
- Contribute to a positive and adaptive team environment that supports the College's mission and evolving priorities. Perform other duties as assigned.

- Complete all required institutional compliance and risk management training.

- Bachelor's degree with one (1) to three (3) years of relevant work experience.
- Demonstrated computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, and website maintenance.
- Demonstrated excellence in professional written and oral communication required.
- Experience and/or proficiency working with mass email/database platforms
- Ability to take initiative, act independently, handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize.
- Ability to travel within the college's two-county district area.
