Summary

The Operating Room RN responsibilities include:

• Independently caring for a sub‑specialty group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards.
• Delegating appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team.
• Being responsible for professional accountability and development according to best practice standards set forth by a nationally recognized specialty organization.
• Performing the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned.

This position requires a minimum of two years of RN experience. For this position, we strongly prefer at least one year of RN experience in the Operating Room.

Minimum Qualifications

• Specific skills:
  Clinical skills appropriate to position, Interpersonal skills.
• Certifications and Licensures: BLS (Basic Life Support), RN (Registered Nurse), ACLS (Cardiovascular) if required by department, Preferred Nurse Specialty (CNOR).
• Education:
  
  Associate’s Nursing or Diploma Nursing;
  Preferred Bachelor’s Nursing.
