Veterinary Specialty Hospital of Palm Beach Gardens is an Emergency/Specialty hospital located in Palm Beach Gardens, FL.Our specialty departments include Emergency and Critical Care, Cardiology, Dermatology, Internal Medicine, Oncology, and Surgery/Orthopedics.

We are adding an Oncology department to our list of specialty services Fall 2026!

We are open 24/7/365 serving the Palm Beach Gardens area.

VSH of PBG is looking for a Veterinary Technician to join our Oncology TEAM!

About You

Your Experience & Skills
  • Veterinary Technician (CVT/LVT/RVT) preferred, NOT required! Experienced Veterinary Assistants encouraged to apply!
  • 1-2 years of clinical experience in an Oncology specialty service is preferred
  • A degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary technology program is preferred; or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
You’re Willing And Able To
  • Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients
  • Assist veterinarians and the medical team to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow
  • Assist with treatments and procedures in accordance with your state's Veterinary Practice Act outlined for credentialed veterinary technicians
  • Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer guidance on care, medications, and additional treatments
  • Assist in maintaining relevant, comprehensive medical records with the support of practice systems
  • Obtain relevant health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts
  • Use safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and sustain clean, sterile, organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs
  • Be willing to guide, mentor, and support fellow team members

Compensation is negotiable based on credentials and experience with an hourly pay rate starting at $25/ hour. The actual rate offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
