Warehouse Associate

St. Vincent de Paul Orlando Thrift Stores Warehouse Associate

Receive donated goods from Donors. Assist Donors with unloading vehicles and carrying donations. Collect and bag/box all donations. Maintain accurate donation records of total donations on a daily and weekly basis.

• Greet each Customer with a courteous, friendly, and professional attitude; provide prompt, efficient, and accurate customer service always.
• Politely and professionally receive donations from Donors and issue donation receipts for articles donated; assist Customers with lifting items in and out of their vehicles.
• Sort donations as they arrive in proper carts or bins and make proper determination as to the quality of donations.
• Sort and price donated merchandise.
• Keep the production area clean and safe and other Store areas as directed.
• Maintain a well-groomed appearance and appropriate dress code, including name badge and vest.

• Provide general information to Customers/Donors.
• Assist Staff and Volunteers when needed.
• Follow Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) procedures and other Public Protection Guidelines.
• React calmly and respond to emergency situations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager.

• Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Vision abilities required by this job include: close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Standing and walking for extended periods of time.
• Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, push, and pull.
• Sufficient mobility to turn from side-to-side and the ability to lean and remove items from containers.
