About the Position
The Operations Associate supports the Store Management team in achieving store goals by coordinating shipping and receiving, inventory control, back‑of‑house maintenance, and related housekeeping activities. The role requires a professional, detail‑oriented person with a sense of urgency and motivation.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure accurate daily operations of the stock room and processing of store merchandise for the selling floor and/or stock room.
- Communicate and document stock coordination activities, aligning stockroom priorities with sales floor priorities.
- Build and implement a game plan to respond to business opportunities and trends.
- Partner with management to implement monthly visual directives, ensuring merchandise is received, processed, and available for the sales floor and sales staff.
- Take markdowns and package, ticket, and log merchandise following all processes and procedures.
- Safely store merchandise and maintain easy accessibility for replenishment.
- Practice security measures to deter theft and handle transfers, receiving new merchandise, and discrepancies.
- Contribute to positive employee relations through effective communication, teamwork, and partnership with co‑workers and management.
- Maintain the stockroom in a neat, organized, and safe manner, complying with company operational and safety policies.
- High School diploma (preferred).
- 1 year of warehouse/shipping and receiving experience (preferred).
- Ability to lift and mobilize medium to large items up to 100lbs., using appropriate equipment and safety techniques.
- Ability to operate and read scanning equipment for extended periods.
- Excellent attention to detail, follow‑up, and organizational skills.
- Strong planning and time‑management skills, with demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills with clients, colleagues, and management.
- Strong sense of urgency for implementing courses of action.
- Ability to stand on feet and maneuver around the store during shift hours.
This position is classified as a part‑time or full‑time hourly, non‑exempt role, with an average of 40 hours per week. It is eligible for overtime and standard company benefits. The role is based in‑store at a Lilly Pulitzer retail location and may require flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Compliance with Lilly Pulitzer policies and the detailed Code of Conduct is required.
