Associate Flex Selling

Responsibilities

• Assist the store organization with workforce planning during periods when regular full‑time or part‑time associates are unavailable due to planned or unplanned absences.
• Support sales and customer service functions, including greeting customers, providing product knowledge, and processing sales transactions using the POS register system.
• Recommend, select, and help locate or obtain merchandise based on customer needs and desires.
• Foster repeat business by building relationships with customers and promoting Saks credit card.
• Resolve customer issues by aligning with the core values of trust, integrity, and respect.
• Maintain the selling floor and fitting rooms, including resizing fixtures, putting go‑backs away, executing markdowns, and signing fixtures and windows as needed.
• Complete the markdown process with urgency and accuracy in accordance with company standards.
• Participate in store programs, selling events, and special projects assigned by store leadership.
• Adhere to asset‑protection controls, compliance procedures, and the shortfall and theft awareness program.
• Operate equipment such as radios, POS registers, ticket scanners, and sensor removers.
• Work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a retail, customer service, or sales environment.
• Proven sales track record and results‑driven mindset.
• Competitive drive and entrepreneurial confidence to succeed.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver high‑standard customer service and build exceptional relationships.
• Thorough knowledge of the fashion industry and a passion for sharing expertise.
• Ability to act promptly in routine situations and devise clear, positive outcomes for customers.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

• Starting hourly rate: $15.00 – $16.00 per hour (based on market, skills, experience, and other qualifications).
