Tire and Battery Service Advisor

Position Summary

Sam's Club Tire and Battery Center Associate – responsible for maintaining store safety, merchandising, sales, and member service within the TBC.

• Maintain facility and sales floor safety and standards per safety policies, including regular safety sweeps, forklift and hazardous material handling, and reporting unsafe situations.
• Ensure the Tire and Battery Center (TBC) is organized, stocked, zoned and merchandised according to company policies; handle claims, returns, shrink and damage appropriately.
• Present and maintain merchandise presentation: stock, set up, clean, organize displays; remove damaged goods; sign, price and secure fragile/high‑shrink merchandise.
• Manage tire and battery order status; assist members with installation appointments; communicate lead‑time changes and cancellations; provide alternative solutions.
• Provide expert member service: greet members, assess needs, recommend products/services, explain warranties, and resolve concerns.
• Drive sales and service excellence: communicate value of merchandise/services; collaborate with club associates to promote TBC offerings.
• Triage and prioritize service workflow in TBC service bays; use Sam’s Garage to identify waiting members; manage appointments to maximize efficiency.
• Demonstrate knowledge of safety, compliance, industry guidelines, service standards, equipment operations, TPMS, product specifications, seasonality, POS systems, phone, and in‑person selling techniques.
• Leverage technology: use digital tools and handheld devices to plan sales, improve service experience, and make real‑time decisions.
• Serve as a brand advocate; model high‑quality service; develop and mentor team members.
• Operate TBC equipment safely; receive, store, dispose of merchandise; maintain required documentation; process member purchases, returns, refunds and exchanges.
• Comply with company policies, procedures and ethics; use Open Door Policy; apply standards to business processes.

• Valid state‑issued driver’s license.
• Minimum age 18 years.
• Preferred experience in auto service industry or retail.
