This position is responsible for providing excellent customer service to both internal and external customers to exceed customer expectations. The Counter Sales Representative will help drive profitable sales while also focusing on improving market share with new customers while growing existing customers’ business. This role requires team members to be strong players that work closely with inside/outside sales, warehouse operations, and management to enhance the customer experience at Cemstone Supply.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Maintain effective working relationships with company employees, suppliers, and customers.
- Promote and maintain the professional image and reputation of the company.
- Ensure timely problem resolution and high customer satisfaction.
- Serve and sell to commercial/contractor and retail customers by providing pricing and product information via phone, email and in person.
- Act as a trusted advisor to Cemstone customers.
- Work closely with outside sales to process quotes and sales orders.
- Submit special order requests to Sourcing and inform customers once orders are received.
- Process store transfers.
- Communicate company policies to customers, including delivery, return, special-order, and payment policies.
- Resolve customer concerns in a timely manner and inform the Regional Manager of any issues.
- Ensure the store is kept clean and organized.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.

- High School diploma or GED.
- Two+ years related experience in point of sale customer service / retail or selling contractor supply materials preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both orally and written.
- Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Friendly and personable demeanor with customers and co-workers.
- Strong listening and presentation skills.
- Ability to understand and respond to customer needs and expectations.
- Prioritizes and plans work activities, uses time efficiently, sets goals and objectives.
- Provides follow-up and feedback to both internal and external customers.
- Comfortable with basic mathematics, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
- Understands pricing concepts such as gross margin percentage, square footage, and lineal footage.
- Proficient with Office software, Spreadsheet software, and Word software, and can work efficiently during customer interactions.
- Valid driver’s license required.
18.00 - 23.00 per hour.
