Location: Remote – seeking 1 candidate based in the Western US

Experience: 5 – 7 years of sales experience

POSITION SUMMARY

Buckled In is looking for a Business Development Manager (BDM) with proven sales experience and the desire to take customer partnerships to the next level. This role is responsible for achieving and creating sales with new customers and growing our partnership with existing customers in a defined geographic area. The BDM will call on school districts, private and charter schools, and other customers needing transportation solutions.

Our partners are executive leaders, school boards, transportation managers, social service providers and many other educational support personnel.

The BDM shall use their current sales knowledge and skills in the development and execution of their annual sales plan. Our company moves fast and is nimble in delivering high value solutions to our customers. We are looking for associates who are mission minded, excited to be part of a growing company and are willing to help create innovative solutions for the future.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Represent and sell company transportation solutions.
  • Effectively develop and execute regional sales plans to achieve annual revenue goals.
  • Establish and grow new account opportunities through creation and execution of proposals, contracts and participation in Request For Proposal processes.
  • Use the company CRM to record all contacts and interactions with customers to keep management informed of progress against plan.
  • Collaborate with the Operation team to company leadership to evaluate customer performance metrics and to identify opportunities for improving and enhancing our business partnerships.
  • Obtain and report competitive information, such as new products, pricing, and sales strategies obtained during the sales process and lead generation.
  • Provide updated information and recommendations for service programs and suggest improvements to existing programs based on information obtained from customers.
  • Perform account management sales activities with current customers through routine in-person visits with our partners.
  • Attend industry trade events to sell the company’s programs and obtain sales leads via contact with potential customers.
  • Other activities assigned as needed to help achieve the company’s sales goals.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
  • Proven history of success selling business to business service solutions, preferably within the education or transportation industries.
  • Engaging storytelling and presentation skills, able to explain multi-faceted value propositions.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Track record of building and maintaining successful client relationships with evidence of top-tier achievement and performance in past roles.
