You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and help to deter security-related incidents through visibility and strong communication.

You will also assist students, faculty, and visitors with customer service while documenting and reporting concerns promptly, acting with integrity and teamwork every shift.

** What You'll Do:*
* + Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.

+ Conduct armed patrol duties in accordance with Allied Universal guidelines and site-specific requirements, including maintaining control of issued equipment and following all use of force and reporting protocols.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, disturbances, and fire or alarm activations, and request assistance from campus leadership and/or public responders as needed.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols of academic buildings, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter, monitoring for unusual activity and conditions. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.

+ Complete shift logs and incident reports, communicate key information during post handoff, and support access control activities such as monitoring entrances and verifying identification as directed by site procedures.

* Minimum Requirements:

* + Have 3+ years' combined law enforcement/military/security experience OR a college degree.

+ Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.

+ Be at least 21+ years of age.

+ A Guard Card/License is preferred.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
