Job Description

As a Security Officer Driver Armed Patrols in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in various industries such as government. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security‑related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving and armed post for professionals who value teamwork, act with integrity, and bring an agile, reliable, and innovative approach to serving the community.

What

You’ll Do
  • Provide customer service at a government location by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence in accordance with post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and help verify that visitors, staff, and/or vendors follow site entry procedures, identification requirements, and restricted‑area protocols.
  • Prepare clear, timely reports of incidents, patrol activities, and/or observed concerns, and communicate relevant information to supervisors, local authorities, and/or site contacts as needed.
Minimum Requirements
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a DD214 with honorable discharge or an associate degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate.
  • Handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
