Pay Rate: $22.26 / Hour
Job Schedule: Tue/ Wed 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM
What You’ll Do- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public agencies as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Maintain a visible armed presence in assigned areas while following post orders, use of force guidelines, and reporting protocols applicable to the location.
- Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and report security‑related concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
- Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security‑related experience, or possess a college degree.
- Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a DD214 with honorable discharge, an associate degree, 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
