What You'll Do- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related activities, and when appropriate, emergency response actions at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and reporting relevant details to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, unsecured areas, and/or potential security‑related concerns.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials when required, and help to deter unauthorized access while following post orders, location policies, and applicable protocols.
- Support routine operations by completing logs, incident reports, and other required documentation, and communicating clearly with site personnel, first responders, and/or Allied Universal management as needed.
- Have at least 1 year of security‑related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton experience is preferred.
- A guard card/license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
