** How This Role Works:*

** Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"):
** You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.

** Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program:
** In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

** Responsibilities:*
* + Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.

+ Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and reporting concerns through appropriate channels.

+ Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations, with working environments and conditions varying by site.

+ Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations while following post orders and applicable use-of-force guidelines.

+ Support public-facing operations by interacting professionally with employees, visitors, and/or members of the public, providing directions, information, and assistance during routine and unusual situations.

* Minimum Requirements:

* + A minimum of 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree is required.

+ Graduation from a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent is required.

+ A minimum of 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.

+ A minimum of 1 year of law enforcement experience or 2 years of security-related supervisor or manager experience or 3 years of security-related experience is required.

+ An armed guard card or license is required.

+ A college degree is required.

+ A corrections officer license is required.

+ A DD214 with honorable discharge or an associate degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate is required.

+ A law enforcement officer license is required.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
