Maintenance Tech – Club Pacific

SUMMARY

The Maintenance Tech is responsible for maintaining the golf course and country club property. The Maintenance Tech completes various activities such as bush cutting, landscaping, raking and maintaining bunkers, out of bounds maintenance, along with assisting with special projects to help maintain the golf course to the best standards possible.

Regular attendance is an essential function of the job. CCP cannot accommodate unpredictable or sporadic absenteeism, unless it is covered by federal/state law.

• Maintains the golf turf and golf course.
• Assists with the intricate work of golf turf maintenance.
• Ensures cleanliness and proper conditions of golf course.
• Maintains the tools and machines that help keep the maintenance of the golf course.
• Renovates worn and damaged turf from time to time in order to keep it clean.
• Knowledge of all the rules and regulations of the golf course.
• Responsible for keeping the area surroundings clean of trash and debris, including around the buildings and the golf course.
• Assists with making changes to the golf course, with regards to Landscaping, additional planting of shrubs and trees or planting of grasses.
• Prunes flowers and trees to enhance aesthetic appearance on the golf course.
• Learn to operate on-course golf equipment to help maintain the conditions of the golf course as a result, becoming a Maintenance Operator at a later date.

• Ensures /maintains the cleanliness and upkeep of CCP property (picking up loose trash, material and debris and disposing of it in appropriate trash receptacles provided).

A High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or related experience and or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to read, write and speak English. An individual has ability to read and comprehend instruction, correspondence and office memorandum. Has the ability to write simple correspondence, effectively convey information in one‑on‑one or in a department meeting.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

• Ability to schedule and supervise maintenance work to achieve the most efficient utilization of workers and equipment.
• Ability to anticipate personnel, equipment, and material requirements related to golf course maintenance and repair assignments.
• Interpersonal skills to resolve conflict and work with supervisors, officials, employees, members and the public.

stands and bends for extended period of time; must be able to lift and move heavy objects 50 lbs. or more; operates equipment as required and driving vehicles and turf equipment for long hours; sitting while working long hours.
