Fiberglass Duct Mechanic

Salary: $24.00 - $29.00 per hour.

• Install, repair and maintain ductwork systems, including fiberglass ducts, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
• Measure and cut fiberglass duct material to specific dimensions
• Measure and cut duct materials accurately using hand tools and power tools
• Assemble and secure duct components, including fittings, vents, and diffusers
• Inspect duct systems for leaks, damage, and proper airflow, making necessary adjustments or repairs
• Collaborate with project managers and other trades to ensure timely completion of projects
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to execute installations correctly
• Test duct systems for proper operation and troubleshoot issues as they arise
• Keep detailed records of work performed and materials used for each project

• Must speak English
• Minimum 2 years of experience
• Experience with fiberglass duct
• Ability to hand‑cut fiberglass duct, including making fittings
• Experience reading prints and using an air duct calculator to resize duct as required
• Experience with linear grilles is a plus
• Ability to work independently and efficiently
• Self‑motivated, pride in workmanship and team player
• Must pass pre‑employment drug screening, background check and have a clean driving record
