We are seeking a skilled and experienced HVAC Technician to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in our facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent problem‑solving skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

Job Overview
  • Installation: Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, including air handlers, chillers, boilers, and rooftop units.
  • Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and replacing filters, inspecting and replacing worn or damaged parts, and checking refrigerant levels.
  • Repair: Diagnose and repair malfunctions, including electrical and mechanical faults.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and diagnose HVAC system malfunctions.
  • Record keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and service calls.
  • Customer service: Explain maintenance procedures to customers and provide recommendations for system upgrades or replacements as well as provide exceptional customer service, responding promptly to service requests and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with appliance standards and OSHA.
  • Emergency repairs: Perform emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
  • Growth: Stay up to date with industry developments and best practices, participating in training and professional development opportunities as needed.
Essential Duties
  • Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and replacing filters and inspecting equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose system malfunctions using specialized tools and equipment.
  • Test and balance HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repair work.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and industry regulations.
  • Must be able to lift, move, and maneuver heavy equipment and components weighing up but not limited to 100 lbs., including lifting units and materials onto rooftops via ladders.
  • Must be able to travel out of state with limited notice for emergency tickets.
Experience & Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in HVAC technology or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience as an HVAC technician, with a strong background in installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial HVAC systems.
  • Universal EPA certification required; additional certifications (e.g., NATE, R-410A) preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including design, installation, and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor in a fast‑paced environment, including climbing, lifting, and working at heights.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues, customers, and vendors.
  • Class E Drivers License.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new software, organizational skills, positive attitude; patient and flexible.
  • Ability to work in a high‑pressure atmosphere and prioritize requests regularly.
  • Proficient MS Office skills including Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • Knowledge of basic building systems and components.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including working with all levels of the organization.
