Non-CDL Delivery Driver

Dexter is hiring a non-CDL Metro Driver to run established local delivery routes. This role is all about safe driving, on-time deliveries, and good customer service — no long hauls, no overnights.

• Safely operate company vehicles to transport materials, equipment, or trailer products as assigned.
• Deliver products to customers in a timely and professional manner.
• Secure, load, and unload materials using proper safety procedures.
• Record the quantity and type of cargo transported as required.
• Drive short- and long-distance routes as needed.
• Communicate with dispatch regarding delivery status, delays, or incidents.
• Monitor road conditions, traffic, and weather to ensure safe transportation.
• Follow all federal, state, and local traffic laws.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks; report any issues or defects.
• Follow company procedures for accidents, emergencies, and equipment issues.
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and activity logs.
• Report mechanical concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including loading, unloading, staging materials, inventory tasks, and general housekeeping.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 21 years old
• Minimum 12 months’ experience driving commercial, delivery, warehouse, or comparable vehicles preferred.
• Valid driver’s license per federal and state requirements
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid medical card
• Safe driving record
• Ability to work long hours and travel when required
• Examples of comparable vehicles include, but are not limited to box trucks, city delivery trucks, walk-in vans, heavy-duty pickups, or straight-bed or bucket trucks (GVWR 10,001–26,000 lbs.)
• Knowledge of general road safety practices and applicable transportation rules.
• Ability to perform physical tasks associated with warehouse duties (lifting, loading, moving materials).
