Key Responsibilities:

* Equipment Operation:
Utilize equipment such as pallet jacks and, potentially, forklifts to move cargo efficiently.

* Cargo Handling:
Sort, stack, and organize goods, including rebuilding or breaking down pallets.

* Verification and Inspection:
Check for damage, verify shipment accuracy, and ensure proper labeling of all items.

* Maintaining a Safe Environment:
Keep a clean, organized, and safe workspace by adhering to all safety guidelines and procedures.

* Communication:
Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to prioritize tasks and ensure efficient workflow.

* Unloading and Loading:
Perform manual unloading and loading of cargo, including packages, materials, and pallets from trucks and containers.

Required Skills:

* Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy items

* Basic understanding of warehouse operations and safety standards

* Excellent attention to detail for verifying shipment accuracy

* Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members

Nice to Have

Skills:

* Experience operating forklifts or other warehouse equipment

* Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or similar environment

* Familiarity with inventory management systems

Preferred

Education and Experience:

* High school diploma or equivalent preferred

* Prior experience as a Lumper or in a similar role is a plus

Other Requirements:

* Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed

* Willingness to undergo any required safety training and certifications
