Summary

Under the direction of the Team Leader or Production Team Leader, the employee is responsible for a variety of duties in all departments of the retail warehouse, which may include restocking of items in both the textile and miscellaneous production areas, rotating equipment, and transporting materials as required.

Responsibilities

Load trucks by placing materials in designated trucks for distribution.

Remove/rotate materials and equipment in designated production areas.

Rotate stock and equipment on a timely basis and in accordance with established procedures.

Keep production area clean, neat, and safe.

Transport materials and equipment to appropriate departments and locations including waste and salvage (via truck).

Use of equipment as trained and/or certified.

Refilling of hangers at hanger stations in textile production area.

Maintain a well-groomed appearance and appropriate dress code including name badge.

Additional Functions

Assist in textile and miscellaneous power hour process per established procedure.

Perform duties within the framework of the Core Principles.

Attend in-service and related training as assigned by Team Leader.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Team Lead and Production Team Lead.

Qualifications / Competencies

Ability to adhere to the Organization's Core Principles.

Knowledge of retail and/or stock handling.

Ability to react calmly and respond to emergency situations.

Ability to listen and follow directions.

Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Knowledge of shoe brands and current trends.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous material handling experience is preferred.

Mathematics and Computer Skills

Math Ability:
Level 1 — ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s; perform operations using units of American money, weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Computer

Skills:

Beginner knowledge.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Special Conditions of Employment Physical and Environmental Requirements

Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Vision abilities required: close, distance, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Standing and walking for long periods.
Stooping, bending, kneeling, pushing, and pulling.
Sufficient mobility to turn from side to side and to lean and remove items from containers.
The noise level is usually moderate (e.g., office with computers and printers, light traffic).

Language Ability

Reading and comprehension of simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to write simple correspondence; ability to present information in one-on-one and small group settings.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions; deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
