We're looking for an engineer who enjoys solving complex building design challenges, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and delivering practical solutions that make a lasting impact. Whether you're developing power distribution systems, designing energy-efficient lighting, or coordinating with architects and clients, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects.

What You'll Do
- Design electrical systems for commercial, educational, healthcare, industrial, and public-sector building projects
- Develop construction documents, including plans, specifications, calculations, and reports
- Perform power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage system design
- Coordinate designs with architects, contractors, owners, and other engineering disciplines
- Conduct site visits, field investigations, and construction observations
- Collaborate with project managers to deliver projects on schedule and within budget
- Apply applicable codes and standards to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant designs
- Assist with project proposals, client meetings, and technical presentations
- Provide guidance and support to junior engineering staff and EITs
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field
- Minnesota Professional Engineer (PE) license and ability to obtain licensure in North Dakota within six months
- 7+ years of experience designing electrical building systems (adjust years as appropriate)
- Experience with commercial, institutional, industrial, or municipal building projects
- Proficiency with design software such as Revit, AutoCAD, SKM, ETAP, or similar tools
- Strong understanding of NEC, NFPA, IBC, IEEE, and other applicable codes and standards
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a collaborative environment
- Excellent communication and client service skills
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed
