Overview
Fairview Range is hiring a Radiologic Technologist for the Diagnostic Imaging Department in Hibbing, MN. Eligible for a sign‑on bonus up to $15,000, with a minimum of $5,000 for a one‑year commitment.
ScheduleThis position will be working 72‑80 hours per two weeks. Typical schedule may include 8‑ and 12‑hour day, evening, and night shifts with rotating weekends and on‑call requirements.
Responsibilities- Perform quality Diagnostic Imaging procedures with accuracy and competency and maintain Standard of Patient Care.
- Operate equipment using proper technical factors while providing radiation protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards.
- Assist Radiologist in performance of Diagnostic Imaging procedures and work effectively with Radiologist and other providers.
- Assure care for the physical and psychological needs of the patient while maintaining proper positioning and transferring techniques.
- Ensure the procedure is explained to the patient prior to the exam and prepare the patient for exam.
- Ensure double identification is performed and follow safety compliance and regulations.
- Responsible for accurately completing examination information and history in the electronic medical record and PACs systems. Provide the Radiologist with necessary documentation and information needed for an accurate diagnosis for all procedures.
- Ensure consent forms and procedural verification forms are completed accurately and completely.
- Wear and store radiation badge appropriately, and return badge for measurement submission in a timely manner.
- Work effectively both independently and with team members.
- Maintain departmental efficiency.
- Ensure imaging equipment and rooms are cleaned on a routine basis.
- Assemble and organize each room prior to and following procedures; assigned areas are cleaned in a timely manner.
- Perform designated duties on time.
- Inform leadership about inventory needs.
- Provide solutions to issues and problems in imaging, actively engage and collaborate with team members and leadership in solutions.
- Assume responsibility for the Diagnostic Imaging Department when functioning as a sole technologist, and independently perform procedures in assigned specialty areas with on‑call responsibilities where applicable.
- Perform training in areas of interest and experience in Mammography, Dexa, MRI, or other modalities is a plus.
- Must be currently registered with the ARRT.
- Basic Life Support (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
- ARRT (CT) preferred.
- One‑year experience as a registered CT Technologist.
$31.07‑$43.51 Hourly.
