This position offers:

  • Starting pay of $18.98/hr. up to top pay of $26.78/hr.

General Purpose of the Position:

Through hole solder is responsible for, repairing, and modifying production electronic components and circuit boards.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepares and solders all levels of electronic components onto Printed Circuit Boards (PCB's) according to specifications.
  • Perform soldering at a through hole level to IPC standards.
  • Lead forming of different types of electronic parts using hand tools and automatic equipment for PCB (Printed Circuit Board) assembly.
  • Advanced understanding of PCB assembly drawings and related documents; ECN's, assembly instructions.
  • Utilize electrical and manual tools such as soldering iron, de-soldering equipment, and solder removal tools.
  • Has an advanced understanding of PCB assembly processes, component installation sequence of thru hole components.
  • Rework, repair, and modify printed circuit boards and/or assemblies to required specifications.
  • Maintains department specific records.
  • Ability to learn new jobs, tasks, functions and develop training for these functions.
  • Perform cross functional audits across manufacturing.
  • Mentoring of new employees/contractors to ensure training is successful and questions/concerns are addressed.
  • Must be willing to be moved into various work areas in order to meet production requirements or where skills best serve department and company goals.

Minimum Requirements:

    High school diploma/GED; AA Degree Preferred

    Qualifications:
    • Must be an IPC 610 A Certified to soldering or have the ability to achieve certification.
    • Willingness to take charge, and offer opinions and direction.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Must be able to support circuit board inspections across manufacturing
    • Perform basic computer duties as assigned. Minimal computer skills required.
