Ophthalmic Technician - Hickory Hills – Trinity Health

• Shift: Monday thru Friday

• Provide comprehensive patient care including specialized ophthalmic testing, triage, and patient teaching.
• Perform basic and routine eye examination procedures to assist in diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases and problems.
• Explain diagnostic and treatment procedures to patients.

• Minimum Education:
  
  Associates Degree OR equivalent training acquired via work experience or education. Preferred:
  Associates Degree in Ophthalmic Technician Program.
• Minimum Experience:
  
  Less than one year of previous job-related experience. Preferred:
  At least one year of previous job-related experience, highly preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge and hands-on experience in manual refraction and applanation tonometry to support comprehensive ophthalmic care.

• Must possess current Certified Ophthalmic Tech (COT) certification upon hire.
• Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. No visa sponsorship.

Pay Range: $22.07 - $34.21 per hour. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
