Our Ophthalmology Assistants primarily work at our Hickory Hills campus. However, they may also be asked to provide coverage at other locations when needed, including:

• Burr Ridge
• Maywood (Loyola campus)
• Oakbrook Terrace

Ability to travel to all 4 sites is required

Provide comprehensive patient care including specialized ophthalmic testing, triage and patient teaching. Perform basic and routine eye examination procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases and problems. Explain diagnostic and treatment procedures to patients.

Monday thru Friday Shift

• Required:
  
  Associates Degree OR equivalent training acquired via work experience or education
• Preferred:
  Associates Degree
• Specify Degree(s):
  Ophthalmic Technician Program

• Required:
  
  Less than one year of previous job-related experience
• Preferred:
  At least one (1) year of previous job-related experience, highly preferred.

Possess demonstrated knowledge and hands-on experience in manual refraction and applanation tonometry to support comprehensive ophthalmic care.

Must possess current Certified Ophthalmic Tech (COT) certification upon hire

Pay Range: $22.07 - $34.21 per hour

Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
