Office Coordinator
Corning Incorporated is seeking an Office Coordinator to support Technology and Division Engineering employees at the Hickory Manufacturing and Technology Center team at our Hickory, NC facility. In this role, you will serve as the operational hub for a fast-paced, high-visibility site — managing office space, coordinating executive support, and driving a professional and engaging workplace experience for employees, visitors, and leadership.
This is a permanent, full-time position ideal for an organized, proactive professional who brings strong initiative and thrives in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage office space governance including floor plans, seating assignments, occupancy tracking, and coordination of employee moves and workspace readiness activities
- Oversee shared work spaces, common areas, office equipment, and facilities-related work orders to ensure a well-maintained and professional work environment
- Coordinate executive, customer, and visitor visits, including logistics, catering, and onsite support; provide calendar management, domestic and international travel coordination, and expense reporting for the Director of Technology Operations
- Lead planning and execution of site-wide communication meetings, employee engagement events, and recognition programs
- Support new employee and intern onboarding, including office preparation, welcome materials, and first-day logistics
- Serve as a primary liaison for site-wide communications, organizational announcements, and distribution list management
Experiences/Education
- Required
- Associate degree (AAS) in Business or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years of project coordination or administrative experience
- Experience managing office space planning, seating assignments, and occupancy tracking
- Experience coordinating executive-level calendars, domestic and international travel, and expense reporting
- Demonstrated ability to plan and execute large employee events or organization-wide meetings
- Proficiency with business productivity and technology tools; ability to adapt quickly to new systems and processes
Experiences/Education

- Prior experience supporting director or executive-level leaders in a large, matrixed organization
- Experience with in a manufacturing, technology, or corporate campus environment
- Familiarity with an enterprise expense management system
This position does not support immigration sponsorship. The range for this position is $62,786.00 - $86,332.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
