Job Purpose

We are seeking a passionate, student‑centered School Teacher to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will create an engaging learning environment that supports students’ intellectual, social, and emotional development in grades K‑5. This role requires strong classroom management skills, subject matter expertise, and a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive school culture.

Qualifications / Requirements
  • Must hold or be eligible for a North Carolina Teaching license.
  • Ability to perform each essential function proficiently. Reasonable accommodations may be made.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (Bachelor degree preferred).
  • Citizenship, residency, or valid work visa required.
Job Description and Duties
  • Develop lesson plans and instructional materials and provide effective teaching strategies.
  • Maintain effective classroom management, recognize and address learning and behavior issues, and differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Evaluate student accomplishments regularly using multiple assessment methods; provide progress and interim reports.
  • Communicate with students, staff, parents, and the community constructively.
  • Protect students, materials, assets, and facilities by taking necessary precautions.
  • Uphold and enforce board policies, district goals, and school regulations.
  • Adhere to health and safety policies.
  • Maintain appropriate work habits, including attendance and efficient use of conference and planning time.
  • Keep current in subject matter knowledge and learning theory; attend workshops, PLCs, and staff development sessions.
  • Respect confidentiality of records and information concerning students, parents, and teachers in accordance with professional ethics and law.
  • Participate in supervising students during the school day in various areas.
  • Perform non‑instructional duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Leadership in classroom and professional practice.
  • Create a respectful, inclusive environment for a diverse student population.
  • Align instruction with North Carolina Standard Course of Study.
  • Know appropriate instructional levels and adapt teaching for all students, including special needs.
  • Facilitate learning with variety of methods, technology integration, and assessment.
  • Use critical thinking, problem solving, teamwork, and effective communication.
  • Reflect on practice and professional growth.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in an approved education program or relevant field.
  • Strong background and understanding of NC Standard Course of Study and Essential Standards.
Physical Requirements
  • Exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally.
  • Regular speaking, hearing, hand use, repetitive motions; frequent walking and occasional standing, kneeling, etc.
  • Standard vision requirements.
