We are currently seeking a dedicated Exceptional Children (EC) Teacher to support students with disabilities in a North Carolina school district. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing individualized instruction, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and helping students achieve academic, behavioral, and social success.

The Exceptional Children Teacher will provide specialized instruction and support services to students with disabilities in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). The ideal candidate will be committed to creating an inclusive learning environment, utilizing evidence-based instructional practices, and partnering with families and school staff to promote student growth.

• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with federal and North Carolina state regulations.
• Provide direct instruction in academic, functional, behavioral, and social-emotional skill areas based on student needs.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families to support student success.
• Collect and analyze student data to monitor progress toward IEP goals and adjust instruction as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and compliance records.
• Implement accommodations, modifications, and behavior intervention plans as outlined in student IEPs.
• Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility determinations, reevaluations, and other special education processes.
• Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and independence.

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Special Education or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Must hold or be eligible for a North Carolina Professional Educator's License in Exceptional Children:
  General Curriculum (K-12) or another applicable North Carolina Exceptional Children teaching licensure area.
• Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, and North Carolina Exceptional Children Program requirements.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills.
• Previous school-based experience preferred, but qualified new graduates are encouraged to apply.
