Salary
$40,897.00 - $47,713.00 Annually
The Advisor, NC Boost will play a transformational role by empowering students to design their academic and career goals and take ownership of their academic journey. The Advisor, NC Boost will provide holistic and intrusive student support through academic advising, navigating academic programs and process requirements, career exploration activities, financial readiness, and student development. The advisor will perform various tasks related to advising new, enrolled, and prospective students, including career planning, program and course selection, and retention services.

Qualifications and Working ConditionsKnowledge of:
- Comprehensive Articulation Agreements.
- Principles and techniques of student services activities.
- The mission, goals and objectives of CCC&TI.
- College admissions and advising techniques and procedures.
- Principles and procedures of record keeping.
- Safe work practices and procedures.
- Operational characteristics of equipment and tools used in the area of work assigned, including internet navigation.
- English usage, spelling, grammar and punctuation.
- Modern office procedures, methods and computer equipment.
- Current trends, research and development in the area of assignment.
- Organizational, project management, and facilitation skills
- Pertinent federal, state and local laws, codes and regulations.
Ability to:
- Understand the needs of community college students.
- Enter, monitor and interpret student data accurately.
- Interpret and apply college and assigned division goals, objectives, policies, procedures, rules and regulations.
- Contribute to the development of academic mission, goals and objectives which complement those of the college.
- Prepare clear and concise administrative and financial reports.
- Interpret and apply federal, state and local policies, laws, and regulations.
- Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
- Interpret, explain, and enforce departmental policies and procedures.
- Work independently in the absence of supervision.
