Work Hours: M–F, 8:00am–5:00pm
Description
CTG is seeking a Mechanical Designer to support the design and development of mechanical systems, components, and equipment. This role focuses on machine design, Solid Works modeling, and collaboration with engineering and manufacturing teams to deliver high-quality, manufacturable solutions.
Responsibilities- Design and develop mechanical systems and machine components
- Create 3D models, assemblies, and detailed drawings using Solid Works
- Support product development from concept through production
- Perform engineering calculations, simulations, and basic failure analysis
- Prepare technical documentation including specifications and BOMs
- Collaborate with manufacturing to optimize designs for cost, quality, and production
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- 4+ years of experience in mechanical and machine design
- Proficiency in Solid Works (modeling, assemblies, and drawings)
- Strong understanding of mechanical principles, materials, and manufacturing processes
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Experience with FEA and/or CFD
- Prototyping and rapid manufacturing experience
- Exposure to electrical systems, controls, or microcontrollers
- Basic programming knowledge (Python, C++) a plus
