Chase Corporation is seeking an R&D Lab Technician to support scientists, engineers, and managers in the preparation, testing, and evaluation of coating formulations and chemical intermediates. This role is responsible for generating timely, accurate, and reliable data to support internal development efforts and external customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities Laboratory Execution & Testing
  • Prepare coating formulations and chemical intermediates to defined specifications
  • Perform standard laboratory tests and operate lab equipment
  • Accurately document results in lab notebooks, job sheets, and internal systems
  • Maintain lab records in accordance with internal procedures and customer requirements
Technical Support & Problem Solving
  • Troubleshoot nonconforming materials and test results
  • Provide technical support to internal stakeholders as needed
  • Assist in developing and refining processing conditions
Lab Operations & Safety
  • Support maintenance and safe operation of laboratory equipment and apparatus
  • Follow all written and verbal procedures, safety protocols, and quality standards
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in a laboratory or manufacturing environment (chemical industry preferred)
  • Hands‑on experience with laboratory equipment and measurement instruments, including preparation of formulations and execution of standard lab tests
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow procedures, manage multiple priorities, and deliver accurate, timely results in a fast‑paced environment
  • Organized, dependable, and accountable, with effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar systems
Education
  • Associate’s degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Engineering, or related field required;
    Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Polymer Engineering, Materials Engineering, or Chemical Engineering may be considered in lieu of experience
