Hickory, NC Pay: $80k -$85k plus comprehensive benefits Position Type:
Permanent, Full-time Our team at The Recruiting Pros is proud to be searching for an Industrial / Plant Engineer on behalf of an acknowledged and recognized furniture manufacturer in Hickory, North Carolina with distribution partners throughout the U.S. In this position you will be applying engineering theory and principles to improve furniture manufacturing processes, establishing and monitoring work standards and piece work labor rates and analyzing operational costs, economical process flows and management functions.
This is a full-time permanent position. A Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering is required. Routine responsibilities will require you to:
Evaluate, maintain and set work instructions, work standards and piece work rates Assist production staff with understanding and establishment of baseline performance and work standards Identify, evaluate and recommend changes or improvements in processes, procedures and equipment with supporting analysis Review product cost, evaluate and make recommendations Perform cost studies and economic comparisons of operations Reduce the cost of production by elimination of waste in materials and labor Perform plant layout evaluation and layout improvement options Exhibit excellent computer skills in CAD, Word and Excel Software Required Experience :
Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering required Mechatronics would be a big plus A background of experience or education supporting Wood Science is greatly preferred Excellent communications skills, verbal and written, with ability to lead and associate with production staff
