You will work closely with engineers and cross-functional project teams to design mechanical solutions, execute experiments, and deliver production-ready results that drive customer value.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute experimental plans, perform tests, organize data, and deliver clear test reports and technical documentation
  • Specify, procure, and coordinate mechanical equipment and components with internal and external suppliers and machine shops
  • Apply structured problem-solving methods — including Kepner-Tregoe (KT), Designed Experimentation, and Six Sigma — to drive process and equipment improvements
  • Develop draft procedures and documentation for processes and equipment; support training of personnel on newly deployed systems
  • Capture new ideas for potential patent submission and contribute to a culture of continuous innovation
  • Maintain and promote a safe work environment at all times

Experiences/Education

- Required:

  • Associate's degree in a technical discipline with 5+ years of manufacturing or equipment development experience; OR 7+ years of relevant manufacturing experience
  • Hands-on experience with process equipment such as extrusion, UV processing, or electromechanical systems
  • Experience using 3D CAD software for mechanical part and assembly detailing and documentation
  • Experience with mechanical equipment design, procurement, installation, and debugging
  • Ability to coordinate with suppliers, machine shops, and internal and external stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools

Experiences/Education
- Desired:

  • Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor including Autodesk Vault (VAULT)
  • Experience testing and troubleshooting fiber optic cables or similar products
  • Experience designing and developing new equipment and processes for manufacturing
  • Familiarity with pneumatic components/controls and PLC programming
  • Experience with data analysis tools (Excel, SPC, JMP, or Minitab)
  • Experience in project planning, scheduling, and resource management
  • Experience with equipment and process documentation standards
  • Fluency in Spanish, German, or Polish is a plus
