Position: Sr. Aerospace Program Manager (DO-178 & DO-254 Electrical Engineering)

ONSITE Sr. Aerospace Program Manager in greater Hickory, NC area


*** MUST have a U.S. Citizenship***

Need:
Aerospace/Avionics embedded, "safety-critical," or Brushless Motors control systems expertise

*** MUST have experience leading DO-178 &
DO-254 programs
***

Electrical Engineering experience with worker Orcad or Altium

Required Qualifications
  • MSEE/BSEE, MSME/BSME, or related degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related technical discipline.
  • 8+ years of aerospace, avionics, embedded, or "safety-critical" systems experience.
  • Embedded Software or Electronics Hardware
  • Brushless Motors for Airbus
  • Strong background in embedded hardware and/or software development.
  • Experience supporting complex aerospace programs involving certification requirements.
  • Demonstrated success working on programs requiring technical recovery, schedule turnaround, or high-priority issue resolution efforts.
  • Ability to troubleshoot across multidisciplinary engineering domains.

Preferred Qualifications
  • DO-178 experience (Software Considerations in Airborne Systems Certification).
  • DO-254 experience (Design Assurance Guidance for Airborne Electronic Hardware).
  • Experience with brushless motor control systems
    , motor drives, power electronics, or related aerospace control applications.
  • Previous experience supporting Airbus programs or working directly with Airbus customers.
  • Knowledge of airborne electronic hardware validation, verification, and certification processes.
  • Experience working in safety-critical aerospace environments.

The successful candidate thrives in challenging environments where technical issues, certification demands, and schedule pressures intersect. This is not a traditional sustaining engineering role; it requires someone who can step into a program recovery effort, quickly understand complex hardware and software issues, and help drive solutions to completion.

Candidates whose experience is primarily focused on mechanical engineering will generally not be as strong a fit as those with deep expertise in electrical engineering, embedded hardware, software, systems integration, and certification engineering
