PTI, LLC. Hickory, NC. Design, implement, and improve manufacturing processes to ensure efficient and cost-effective production, focusing on optimizing systems and technologies. Work with sales and manufacturing to develop new products with customer input. Design new dies to develop new products and modify existing ones to help production. Run R & D trials to develop new products and modify existing products.
Assist production troubleshooting with manufacturing processes and equipment. Be familiar with all the regulatory information for PTI's foam products and be the main go-to person for customer questions and documentation. Perform testing on foam samples and keep documentation. Work on Electrical Discharge Machine (EDM) and Esprit to cut dies for product development and helping production. Work with production to calculate tooling for different production runs.
Conduct R & D meetings bi-weekly and keep track of new updates on each project. Work closely with production to develop, coordinate, and implement technical training for employees. Calculate and keep track of PTI's Emission in compliance with NC DEQ permit. Work M – F, 8am – 5pm and on call as needed.
Requires a Master's or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or related field or foreign equivalent. Requires, if Master's, three (3) years, or if Bachelor's, five (5) years of manufacturing engineering experience to include (3 years with Master's or 5 years with Bachelor's) the following: engineering software AUTO CAD and Esprit; working both individually and as a part of a team;
implementing strategic planning; analytics of engineering data. Apply:
