Position SummaryProvide and manage event management and technical support for allevents supported by Conferences and Events at Lenoir-Rhyne University.
Supervisory Responsibilities- Oversee the production assistant and student workers.
- Serve as director of all Conferences and Events technical services for performing arts venues, including PE Monroe, Belk Centrum and Grace Chapel.
- Serve as the point of contact for LR offices and units usingC&E-managed performing arts venues on campus regardingproduction management.
- Implement and monitor safety and fire prevention practices inall C&E event spaces.
- Ensure compliance with relevant policies and regulations forproductions managed through Conferences and Events, including ADAguidelines, copyright laws and safety guidelines.
- Oversee, operate and maintain all sound, lighting, rigging andother stage equipment in all C&E-managed venues on campus.
- Serve as lead technician in facilities supported by Conferencesand Events. Communicate through event reports to ensure problems are corrected.
- Hire, train, manage and supervise Conferences and Eventsproduction student employees.
- Maintain a database of work-study students.
- Maintain a database of outside contractors. Hire and managecontractors, and ensure invoicing and payments as needed for eventson campus in C&E-managed venues.
- Serve as the technical liaison between LR departments and internal and external groups using spaces for events.
- Serve as the technical advisor and review technical riders forall artists, speakers and groups using Conferences and Eventsfacilities.
- Staff events as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
- Possess a valid driver's license.
