Overview
Children’s Neurotherapy Services (CNS) has been dedicated to serving children and families in Catawba, Caldwell, and surrounding counties since 1999. CNS provides a range of therapeutic services, including Occupational, Physical, Speech Therapy, and Community-Based Rehabilitative Services, in clinics, daycares, and home settings for children from birth to 21 years old. Utilizing a multi-disciplinary approach, CNS treats neurological, orthopedic, and developmental disorders, accepting most private insurances, Medicaid, and private pay.
The clinic fosters a playful, nurturing environment where children can engage in multisensory experiences, and actively encourages parental involvement to meet the specific needs of each child.
This is a full-time, on-site position as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) located in Hickory, NC. The SLPA will work closely with a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide direct therapy services to children aged birth to 21 years. Key responsibilities include assisting with speech, language, and communication interventions, aiding in articulation therapy, documenting patient progress, and supporting the development of treatment plans.
The SLPA will also foster a positive and engaging environment that supports children’s goals in various settings, including clinics, daycares, and homes.
- Proficiency in Speech, Speech Therapy, and Articulation strategies
- Strong knowledge of Communication and Communication Disorders
- Ability to effectively connect with children and caregivers
- Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and written communication skills
- Valid SLPA licensure or certification as required by North Carolina
- Experience working with children with neurological or developmental disorders is a plus
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team
- Reliable transportation to travel between work settings, if required
