Speech Language Pathologist in Hickory, NC

Step into a rewarding role supporting the communication needs of PreK-8th grade students as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist. This contract opportunity runs from ASAP through May 2027 and offers the chance to make a lasting difference in students lives while working with a manageable caseload of approximately 35-40 students. With a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week, youll have the chance to collaborate with educators and caregivers in a school-based environment close to Hickory, NC.

• Active Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
• Previous school-based SLP experience or strong understanding of IEP processes
• Ability to serve diverse needs across PreK-8th grade populations
• Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
• Familiarity with assessment and treatment for a range of speech, language, and communication disorders

• Provide direct and indirect speech-language services to students identified with communication needs
• Conduct evaluations, develop intervention plans, and monitor student progress
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school team members to support educational goals
• Complete comprehensive documentation, including IEPs and progress reports, within required timelines
• Offer guidance, resources, and support for general education staff in classroom strategies
