Pay Rate Range: $20.00 - $23.00/hr (DOE)
Employment Type: Contract (12 Months, Potential Extension)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (flexibility to work 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM as business needs require)
Location: Hickory, NC 28601 (100% Onsite)

Tekberry is seeking analytical and detail‑oriented Business Analysts / Production Planning Planners to support supply chain and manufacturing operations within a fast‑paced production environment. This role combines business analytics, supply chain support, project coordination, and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize operational performance and customer service.

Position OverviewThe Business Analyst supports Supply Chain operations including planning, scheduling, warehousing, packaging, procurement, and materials management activities. This position works closely with manufacturing, operations, finance, engineering, and supply chain teams to analyze business processes, identify improvement opportunities, and support system implementation projects.
The ideal candidate is highly analytical, organized, and comfortable working with large data sets while driving process improvements across multiple business functions.
Responsibilities- Support planning, scheduling, warehousing, packaging, procurement, and material control operations
- Assist with packaging and warehouse process improvement initiatives
- Support shipping, receiving, inventory, and warehouse optimization activities
- Monitor operational performance and identify opportunities for increased efficiency
- Analyze internal and external processes to improve supply chain effectiveness
- Develop, modify, maintain, and improve operational reports and business queries
- Analyze manufacturing and supply chain data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
- Utilize Microsoft Excel, Access, and reporting tools to support decision‑making
- Provide reporting support to Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and leadership teams
- Create dashboards and analytical tools to support continuous improvement efforts
- Participate in cross‑functional projects focused on manufacturing efficiency, customer service, and supply chain optimization
- Support implementation of new systems and business process initiatives
- Lead or participate in process improvement projects as assigned
- Assist with Lean, Six Sigma, and operational excellence initiatives
- Support change management and process standardization efforts
- Maintain a safe working environment and follow all company safety procedures
- Identify and report unsafe conditions or practices
- Support compliance with operational and quality standards
- High School Diploma or GED
- Proven analytical and problem‑solving abilities
- Project management and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and responsibilities simultaneously
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work across departments and organizational levels
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Access
- Self‑motivated with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to adapt to changing business priorities
- 2–5 years of supply chain, planning, logistics, manufacturing, or operations experience
- Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field
- APICS certification preferred
- Lean, Six Sigma, or Performance Excellence training/certification preferred
- Green Belt certification preferred
- SAP experience preferred
- Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) or ERP systems
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and production operations
