Experienced Furniture Sewer Relocation Opportunity – Bedford, Virginia

HF Custom, a division of Hooker Furnishings, is seeking experienced Furniture Sewers to join our manufacturing team in Bedford, Virginia. We are looking for skilled sewing professionals who take pride in producing high-quality upholstered furniture and are interested in building a long-term career with an established industry leader.

This position is ideal for candidates with upholstery sewing experience in furniture manufacturing environments who are comfortable working with fabric and vinyl materials.

• Sew upholstery covers, cushions, pillows, and furniture components using industrial sewing equipment.
• Match patterns, align fabrics, and maintain proper seam placement to meet quality standards.
• Read and interpret work orders, patterns, and production requirements.
• Inspect materials and finished products to ensure quality workmanship.
• Maintain productivity while meeting established quality expectations.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.

• Minimum 3 years of industrial sewing experience, preferably in furniture manufacturing.
• Experience operating industrial sewing machines.
• Ability to read and follow production specifications and patterns.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Experience sewing upholstery covers and cushions.
• Experience with pattern matching.
• Experience working with fabric and vinyl upholstery materials.

Please note: Our products are primarily upholstered in fabric, with some vinyl applications. Leather experience is not required.
