This position is responsible for using appropriate tools to sand furniture.

• Read production tickets for the pieces of furniture being sanded.
• Manually sand wood furniture and frames using various jigs and tools developed for sanding.
• Repair minor defects in the wood using appropriate tools and materials.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Work as part of a team to meet or exceed production goals.

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous sanding experience a plus.

• Prolonged periods of standing and performing repetitive tasks.
• While standing, position will require bending, squatting, kneeling, and twisting.
• Must be able to work in noisy environments.
• Must be able to work in dusty environments.
• Must have manual dexterity to operate tools as directed.
• Frequently lifting/carrying objects up to 25 lbs.; occasionally lifting/carrying objects up to 50 lbs.
