Upholsterer

Position Summary

Fully trained upholsterer capable of independently completing standard upholstery tasks with consistent quality and efficiency.

• Independently upholster standard furniture frames
• Read and interpret work orders, patterns, and specifications
• Select appropriate materials (fabric, foam, springs, etc.)
• Ensure consistent quality and adherence to company standards
• Identify and correct minor issues without supervision
• Maintain productivity expectations for assigned work
• Support training of Level 1 employees as needed

• Consistently meet quality and production standards
• Work independently with minimal errors
• Demonstrate reliability and accountability

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Demonstrated proficiency in upholstery techniques
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail and quality (4‑way match, spot, flow‑match/direction of fabric)
• Solid understanding of materials and tools

Prolonged periods of standing and performing repetitive tasks; must be able to work in noisy environments; must have manual dexterity to assemble products or operate machine as directed; frequently lifting/carrying objects up to 50 lbs.; rarely lifting/carrying objects 51‑75 lbs.
