What You Will Do- Lead and support a diverse production team while ensuring employees have the tools, resources, and direction needed to meet daily goals. Assign work, adjust schedules based on production needs, coach employees, address concerns, and help maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Monitor workflow across departments, support production adjustments when schedules shift, help expedite rush orders or customer priorities, and collaborate cross-functionally to resolve issues quickly.
- Balance people leadership with operational execution and stay focused in a high‑tempo environment.
- Enforce safety guidelines, maintain a clean and organized work environment, support Lean and 5S initiatives, track production metrics, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and strengthen overall performance.
The ideal candidate is a confident, fair, and approachable leader who can motivate a team while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and productivity. You should be comfortable working in a manufacturing environment, making decisions quickly, communicating clearly, and helping employees understand expectations.
Qualifications Required- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3‑5 years of supervisory experience in industrial sewing, assembly, or a similar manufacturing environment
- Experience leading, coaching, and developing production employees
Knowledge of production processes, quality standards, and workplace safety practices - Experience using MRP/ERP systems for production planning, inventory tracking, or material management
- Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment and respond to changing priorities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, such as Excel;
Smart Sheets experience is a plus - Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement practices
- Familiarity with ISO certification standards, quality control processes, or VDA standards
- Forklift experience or willingness to complete certification/training
- Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills
- Ability to travel up to 10%, if needed
