Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (Engineering or other technical discipline preferred)
- 5+ years of manufacturing or operations experience
- 3–5+ years of leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proven leadership driving safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity metrics
- Strong experience coaching, developing, and managing production teams
- Data-driven problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
- Strong communication skills across all organizational levels
- Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma / Continuous Improvement experience
- Experience with new product introduction (NPI), equipment start‑up, or process transfers
- Exposure to multiple manufacturing processes or equipment platforms
- Background in optimizing OEE, uptime, and yield improvement initiatives
Insight Global is seeking a Production Manager for a top manufacturing client. This leader will be responsible for driving end-to-end production performance across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity metrics. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on leader who can balance strategic planning with daily execution, while developing high‑performing teams on the production floor. This individual will play a key role in optimizing manufacturing operations, leading continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring successful implementation of new products and processes.
This is a highly visible leadership role requiring strong operational expertise, people leadership, and the ability to influence cross‑functional stakeholders.
- Lead daily manufacturing operations to hit safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets
- Oversee production teams and supervisors, including coaching and performance management
- Allocate labor, materials, and equipment based on production needs
- Monitor and improve equipment performance (OEE, uptime, yield)
- Drive resolution of operational issues using data and cross‑functional collaboration
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce costs
- Support installation, start‑up, and ramp of new products and equipment
- Manage departmental budget and resource utilization
- Communicate performance metrics, risks, and priorities to plant leadership
- Ensure proper staffing, workforce capability, and long‑term talent development
- Maintain compliance with safety and environmental standards
