What You Will Do

  • Stock components as necessary for daily activities.
  • Repair or replace MIG welder components, such as welding lead, regulators, diffusers, and welding tips.
  • Replace wire stump as needed.
  • Measure and record quality information.
  • Report and correct quality issues as assigned by Supervisor or Lead.
  • Actively participate in housekeeping requirements for the department.
  • Operate robotic welders to include basic troubleshooting and programming.
  • Perform part quality inspections using appropriate measuring device and gages.
  • Track and record downtime of weld cell during production run.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

What You Will Bring

  • Must be at least 18 years of age to perform this job.
  • Formal education is not required.
  • Minimum of 6 months of previous work experience in a manufacturing setting preferred but not required for consideration.
  • Read blueprint and caliper are preferred.
  • MIG welder. There is not minimum time requirement, and experience may be from any environment.
  • Must pass manual welding test.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age to perform this job.

  • While performing the essential functions of this job the employee is required to stand for extended periods of time, stand and use hands to grasp, handle or feel.
  • Employee may on occasion be required to speak, hear, bend, stood, kneel, crouch, and walk on wet surfaces.
  • The employee must frequently lift, move, and/or drag/push more than 40 pounds. Employee may also be requested to extended shift, work overtime, and /or weekends. Employee will work with solvents, oils and grease daily (gloves are required to protect hands and fingers)
  • Employee must be willing and able to abide by all safety policies.
  • Duties are performed primarily at a manufacturing setting and may expose employee to loud noise levels, extreme temperatures, chemical and fumes, and moving mechanical parts.
  • Work is completed in a non-climate-controlled plant environment and employee will have frequent interaction with managers and other employees.
  • Standard hazards within a manufacturing plant where safety precautions and personal protective equipment must be maintained all the time.
