Ourteam at The Recruiting Pros is proudto be searching for a n Industrial / Plant Engineer on behalfof an acknowledged and recognized furniture manufacturer in Hickory, North Carolina with distribution partners throughout the U.S. In this position you will be applying engineering theory and principles to improve furniture manufacturing processes, establishing and monitoring work standards and piece work labor rates and analyzing operational costs, economical process flows and managementfunctions.

Thisis a full-time permanent position. A Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering is required.

Routine responsibilities will requireyou to:

• Evaluate, maintain and set work instructions,work standards and piece work rates
• Assist production staff with understanding and establishment of baseline performance and work standards
• Identify, evaluate and recommend changes orimprovements in processes, procedures and equipment with supporting analysis
• Review productcost, evaluate and make recommendations
• Perform cost studies and economic comparisonsof operations
• Reduce the cost of production by elimination ofwaste in materials and labor
• Perform plant layout evaluation and layoutimprovement options
• Exhibit excellent computer skills in CAD, Wordand Excel Software

Required Experience :

• Mechatronicswould be a big plus
• A background of experience or education supporting Wood Science is greatly preferred
• Excellentcommunications skills, verbal and written, with ability to lead and associatewith production staff
