*
* Position Summary:

** Position is responsible for reading route cards and/or sketches to cut wood or veneer parts to shape or pattern using a bandsaw.
** Position Details:
*** Cuts to line and holds cut to close tolerance + 1/32
* Makes basic visual inspection of parts discarding those with obvious defects
* Stacks parts and cuts more than one at a time when possible
* Creates own forms, patterns and jigs as needed from scratch wood to complete task
* Change saw blades and does preventive maintenance as required
* Sets up bandsaw with forms, guides and blades as needed to run specific parts
* Observes plant safety rules
* Keeps work area clean and is quality conscious in performing duties
* Performs other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor## Qualifications
** Position Requirements:
*** High school diploma or GED preferred
* Previous bandsaw experience required
* Must be able to read a ruler
*
* Physical Requirements:

*** Must be able to walk, stand, climb, stoop, twist, push, pull and bend over the course of 8 hours
* Must be able to lift cores of 30 pounds or more
* Must be able to load stock on pallets
