Pro Staffing is recruiting for an experienced CNC Set-Up Technician to support a high-volume precision machining operation. This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where quality, accuracy, and teamwork are essential. The successful candidate will be responsible for machine setup, tooling changes, troubleshooting, and ensuring equipment is ready to produce quality parts that meet engineering specifications

As a CNC Set-Up Technician, you ll play a key role in preparing equipment for production while maintaining quality and efficiency standards.

• Set up CNC machining centers for new production runs using engineering drawings and setup documentation.
• Prepare machines between work orders, ensuring all tooling, offsets, and machine configurations are production-ready.
• Install and replace cutting tools as needed throughout production.
• Adjust machine offsets and make setup corrections to maintain part quality.
• Load programs into CNC equipment and support machine operation.
• Verify first-piece quality before releasing jobs for production.
• Prioritize machine setups to support production schedules and customer delivery requirements.
• Assist with troubleshooting setup and tooling issues to minimize downtime.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Support additional machining or production activities as business needs require.

We re looking for candidates who possess:

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2–5 years of CNC setup experience in a manufacturing environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
• Experience setting up and troubleshooting CNC equipment independently.
• Working knowledge of G-Code and M-Code programming concepts.
• Experience using precision measuring equipment to verify dimensional accuracy.
• Strong understanding of machining practices, tooling, and machine shop equipment.
• Basic computer skills, including loading and managing CNC programs.
• Ability to perform basic math and geometric calculations.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.

• Experience in precision machining or metal manufacturing.
• Lean manufacturing mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while supporting team objectives.
