Position Summary

Position responsible for setting up and running various woodworking machines to produce casegoods stock.

Position Details

• Sets up and operates various woodworking equipment, including but not limited to cutoff saw, ripsaw, bandsaw, and planer
• Identifies appropriate wood species such as maple, ash, mahogany and walnut
• Sets up and operates auto glue reel & hand operated glue reel
• Uses tape measure to verify accurate measurements of the wood
• Travels to lumber yard as needed
• Follows all safety policies & procedures

Position Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous Rough Mill Machine Operator experience preferred
• Must be able to read Route Sheets
• Must be able to read a ruler
• Must be able to set up & run various woodworking machines

• Must be able to stand continuously throughout shift
• Must be walk, climb, stoop, twist, push, pull, grasp and bend over the course of 8 hours
• Must be able to push/pull up to 100 pounds with assistance
• Must be able to lift at least 5 pounds up to 75 pounds regularly, seeking assistance if needed
